What does ".999 fine silver" mean?
It means the piece is 99.9% pure silver — the standard for investment-grade bullion coins and bars, as opposed to sterling silver (92.5% pure), which is used for flatware and jewelry.
Coins vs. rounds vs. bars — what's the difference?
Coins are issued by a government mint and carry legal tender status. Rounds look similar but are produced by private mints with no face value. Bars are stamped ingots, usually valued purely on weight and purity. We handle all three.
Do you buy sterling silver flatware or jewelry?
Yes. Sterling pieces (stamped "925" or "sterling") are assessed differently from bullion since they're a lower purity, but Peter buys both.

General education only — not a valuation. Silver moves with the market daily, so every item is assessed by Peter in person before any figure is discussed.
